Academic Year Prize 2012

International comparative research conducted by Global Entrepreneurship and Development Index (GEDI) showed that the Netherlands ranked high in entrepreneurship climate, placing tenth out of 71 participating countries.

Mr C.G.H. Diks has been appointed professor of Data Analysis and Economic Statistics at the UvA’s Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).

INET grant for Cars Hommes and Te Bao (CeNDEF)

Cars Hommes and Te Bao, researchers at the Center for Nonlinear Dynamics in Economics and Finance (CeNDEF), have been awarded a grant from the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET). The $ 162,000 grant has been received for a period of two years for their project 'Heterogeneous Expectations and Financial Crises (HExFiCs).'
